Camp Oochigeas: A privately funded organization that provides children with cancer and children affected by childhood cancer an opportunity to grow, have fun and enjoy a magical experience Oochigeas is a volunteer based program, and the following position is one of a core team of paid all-summer staff were you will help provide resources to over 350 volunteers during the course of the summer program. You will oversee the swimming program and lead a team of volunteer lifeguards to ensure a safe environment for campers ages 6-18. You will also plan, train and coordinate waterfront emergency procedures as well as oversee the safety of all waterfront activities including fishing, canoeing etc. Qualifications. · NLS certification and an Instructor Certification (Red Cross) · Lifesaving Society Certification an asset · Proven skills in waterfront management are an asset, as well as experience in camping and working with children who have special needs Please contact us for further information , or for any changes that may occur regarding this job posting.
