About our camp
Designed for children with special needs, Camp Lee Mar offers a 7-week residential summer program. It was founded in 1953 and managed to introduce innovations in the field of camping. Kids and teens, aged 7-21, are eligible for Lee Mar if they face the following learning and developmental challenges: Down Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Fragile X, and others. The camp is located in the Pocono Mountains Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania. It a two-hour drive away from New York City. The staff does its best to not only ensure a fun and happy summertime for children, but also improve their social, interpersonal and learning skills. All the activities are picked having these main goals in mind. Although campers are grouped by age in their cabins, the staff also takes into account the abilities of an individual camper to make sure the group dynamics is not affected and the effective atmosphere is created to enhance each camper’s personal growth.
Our programs
Usual camp activities are combined with academic and speech programs to make up a helpful and effective curriculum. Lee Mar offers the following main categories of activities: traditional camp activities and adventures, academic program, speech and language therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, overnight trips, vocational training, Special Olympics Program, and Senior Prom. Equally important is the transition L.I.F.E. Program (Living Independently Functional Education) which offers job training and independent living skills to the veteran campers aged 18 and above.

Program-specific tuition options
This camp may offer session-specific tuition structures, including variations by length of stay, enrollment timing, or payment schedule. Families should confirm details directly with the provider.
Per-night (overnight) and per-day (day) figures are calculated from each session's standard tuition and shown as a planning reference only. We show the lowest per-night or per-day rate across this camp's sessions, so the total for a given session, and your actual tuition, may be higher depending on length of stay, age group, or enrollment timing.
This estimate helps families understand the overall scale of commitment across stay options. Final tuition, inclusions, discounts, and payment structures vary by session and are confirmed directly with the camp.
